What a stay costs, with no small print
Holiday apartments in Feld am See from €115 a night. Below you can read exactly what that price covers, what comes on top of it, and how paying works. We send you one total price for your dates by email.

How the rest works
Payment and deposit
You receive a booking confirmation from us by email. You then pay 25 per cent of the total rental price as a deposit within two weeks, and the remainder is in our account no later than six weeks before arrival. If you book less than six weeks in advance, you pay the whole amount at once.
Cancelling
You can cancel by email or by telephone, and up to ten weeks before arrival it costs nothing. After that the cancellation charges go up: 50 per cent of the rental price between ten and six weeks before arrival, 75 per cent between six and two weeks, and the full amount within two weeks of arrival. We advise you to take out cancellation insurance.

You pay the municipal tourist tax on the spot, separately from the price per night. Until 1 November 2026 it is €2.70 per person per night, payable from the age of 18. From 1 November 2026 a single rate of €4.50 per person per night applies throughout Carinthia, and the age limit drops to 17. From that date onwards, as an overnight guest you also travel without limit on public transport in Carinthia.
Guest registration
In Austria we are required to register every guest (Gästemeldung). When you arrive we therefore ask you to sign a registration form once; bring your passport or ID card. That is all there is to it, we take care of the rest.
Checking in and out
You can check in between 3 pm and 10 pm, and check out by 10 am. Arriving later than that, or do you have to leave earlier? Let us know and we will find a way.
How to get here
Coming from the north, take the A10 Tauernautobahn to the Millstätter See exit and then the B98 through Radenthein to Feld am See. From the south, take the Villach Ossiacher See exit off the A10 and drive via Treffen. Parking is free, directly in front of the house. Note that Austria requires a motorway vignette, and the Tauernautobahn has a separate toll.
Feld am See has no railway station of its own. You travel as far as Spittal-Millstättersee or Villach Hauptbahnhof; buses run to the village from both stations. Tell us what time you arrive and we will be glad to pick you up. The Sonnenschein Card you get from us also lets you travel free of charge on the S-Bahn and regional trains throughout Carinthia.
Common questions about prices
What does a night at Berghaus Seeblick cost?+
Steinbock starts at €115 a night, Fuchs at €125 and Eule at €130. The price depends on the season and the number of people; from the third person onwards we charge €30 per person per night. The final cleaning is always in the price.
Is the final cleaning included in the price?+
Yes. Unlike many booking sites, we charge no separate cleaning fee: the final cleaning is part of the nightly price, along with bed linen, towels, wifi and parking.
Do children pay?+
Children up to and including 3 stay free. We put a cot and a highchair in the apartment if you ask.
What is the tourist tax and how much is it?+
The tourist tax is a charge levied by the Austrian municipality. You pay it on the spot, separately from the nightly price. Until 1 November 2026 it is €2.70 per person per night, from age 18. From that date one rate applies across Carinthia: €4.50 per person per night, from age 17.

Can I book directly on this site?+
No, and that is deliberate. Everything here goes by enquiry: you send us your dates, we check the calendar and send you a personal proposal with the total price. It is only final once you say yes. That way you know you are dealing with us and not with a system.
Is enquiring directly more expensive than going through a booking site?+
No. You pay no more with us than through a platform, and you are in direct contact with us instead of with a help desk.
Do I have to register on arrival?+
In Austria we are required to register every guest. On arrival you sign a short registration form once; bring your passport or ID.
